Who am I?

My pictureI'm Judith Stafford a freelance web copywriter, and I run the Elementary Web Shop based in Bristol.
As a web copywriter the tools of my trade are words. And words can be very powerful when used in the right way. If you look past the fancy graphics and animations of websites you can see that they are primarily made up of words and these words are read by both people and search engines. Therefore, surely, as the words are the most important part of every website they shouldn’t be left to a graphic designer or web programmer but written by a specialist – which is where I come in.
 

My Background

pen and papeI have over 10 years experience writing documentation for small businesses in online and hard copy formats. I have worked in a variety of businesses including complementary medicine, marketing, insurance, engineering and the voluntary sector.  This has given me a good grounding in writing about complex subjects in a way that make it easy for the reader to understand.  And I’m not fazed by new subject matter either. In fact I relish the opportunity to write about something new.

I also write articles for magazines and newsletters on subjects such as travel, health and fitness and country wine making.
